This is Dr. Ford calling with some important information.  First of all, I hope you continue to enjoy the summer and are spending as much time as you can with each other.  To our new families, welcome to Mark Twain and to our returning families, "Welcome Back!"  The new school year is fast approaching, so I wanted to share a couple of things to hopefully ease any anxiety or stress.

 

New students to Mark Twain, which includes all new 6th graders and any 7th or 8th graders who are enrolling at our school for the first time.  A physical enrollment packet is a requirement in order to be fully enrolled and scheduled.  If you have not been to campus to complete this packet, please do so as soon as possible. The office is open from 7am till 3pm Monday through Friday.  Any student without an enrollment packet on file will not have a schedule on the first day of school.

 

This year, all students will receive their lockers and textbooks during the first week of school.  PE clothes are available for sale on August 7th, 10th and 11th from 12-2pm. You can also purchase online through FOMT.  This is also a good time to sign up for Boys & Girls Club should you want your child to stay after school.  They will also be available on the first day of school.

Student schedules will be finalized when the counseling staff return from summer break.  Students can start to check Schoology on Monday, August 10th for their schedule.  They will be given a physical copy of this schedule during their homeroom class on the first day of school.  Please note changes to schedules can only be made if space is available to accommodate.  If your child is interested in taking Dance in PE, please complete this form by Tuesday, August 4th and counselors will do their best to accommodate all requests. https://forms.gle/R4zp8z6pFVVem88NA

More information is forthcoming regarding the first day of school but in the meantime continue to enjoy your break and we look forward to seeing you all in mid-August.
